New group members
Warm welcome to the new group members! Dr. Dominik Hangleiter is joining us as an Ambizione fellow, and his research focuses on quantum complexity theory and quantum computation. Dr. Anne-Catherine de la Hamette is joining us for her PostDoc, and her main research interest is in quantum reference frames. Lastly, we have Elias Rothlin joining us for his PhD. Elias is interested in the connections between gauge theory and quantum error correction via quantum reference frames.
Pio Picchi Prize
We congratulate Carla Ferradini on winning the “Pio Picchi” Prize of the Italian Physical Society, awarded to the best Italian physicists who graduated after 2022. Link to the award page: https://2025.congresso.sif.it/info/premiati-2025.

Victor's defense
We congratulate Victor Gitton on sucessfully passing his PhD defense with a thesis titled "Certifying Non-Classicality in Causal Networks"!
