Laura's defense
We congratulate Laura Burri on successfully passing her defense! Her thesis is titled "Doubly minimized variants of the Rényi mutual information in quantum theory".
Perfect randomness
In collaboration with Andreas Wallraff and his team, our group has built "dice" that produce certifiably perfect random numbers. The experiment uses entagled superconducting qubits and a Bell test to amplify imperfect randomness into randomness that is certified by quantum physics.

Theories of Everything
Our group leader, Prof. Renner, had a great conversation with Curt Jaimungal on Theories of Everything about the Frauchiger-Renner paradox, quantum foundations, and what happens when quantum mechanics is applied to its own observers. Full conversation here: https://youtu.be/6PJ8NI3v5Ss
Master project information event
